“But there was a kitten on my pillow, and it was purring in my face and vibrating gently with every purr, and, very soon, I slept.”–Neil Gaiman
And the cat wishes to be addressed as “Your Serenity,” thank you very much.
Serenity seems an illusion sometimes. Deep breaths. Find your inner peace. Have a wonderful weekend.

So, that’s why I have insomnia — I don’t have a cat. Nice one, Lois.

Oh, I’m so sorry, Mason. I should have told you! 😸

Haha! No worries. I just have to ask Alice dog for permission and I’ll find me a cat now.

In my experience, the kittens on my pillow were slapping my face trying to get me to feed them or brush them, or perhaps to get off their pillow.
Have a great weekend, Lois.

They might consider you a slow learner, Dan. 😹

Slow could just mean that I’m thorough.

“Your Serenity” is regally posing for this photo op. Definitely from royal lineage. A purring kitten is a sure-fire sleep machine for us mere humans. Sheeesh, just try to watch their eyes for a minute when they’re nodding off and you’re right there with them! Love this Lois.
Have a super weekend and I hope you get a few cat naps in. See you Monday! Comb your whiskers this time please.

We’d need to have a really good talk with Teddy first.

That little guy. He played with Yoshi but when he got sick of it and didn’t want cute competition, he wouldn’t even let Yoshi in the house. Teddy is the sweetest dog on the planet but he has boundaries.

oh my gosh–that cracks me up. Teddy–you still got it, little buddy! 🥰

Beautiful kitty. I find I can’t fall asleep without Walter and Mimi by my side, although I prefer they’re not on my pillow!

I love having them snugged up next to me, but sometimes I just want to stretch out a bit and they will have none of that! 😸

That’s so true! My cats are a dead weight when they’re curled up next to me.

Isn’t he just the cutest little guy? My backyard neighbor’s cat, Ozzie. Such a charmer. Definitely in charge, though. 😺 See you Monday, Carolyn.

I love cats and serenity can be a good word to describe them, so can stuborn, determined and I’m sure many others.

ha! I’m with you on the ‘many others.’ They can look and be so sweet, but then there is the other side of them….I do love them, though. Thanks, Leanne. 😺

Thanks, Bruce. He is one of those that you go looking for quote from him and wind up getting lost in his writing. He is some kind of fabulous.
