FANDANGLE…as in doin’ it up big time
And for Dan’s doors there is a door in there somewhere.
When I read today’s prompt, the first thing I thought of was Procul Harum’s song, ‘Whiter Shade of Pale.’ But, alas, in that song they ‘trip the lights fandango’ not fandangle. Details, details.
Not to be deterred, ‘Fandangle’ means adornment, bauble, ornament, decoration. I think this house checks all those boxes.
There are probably other words to be used, but those will suffice.

Yep 👍

Lol! I like the nod to Tarter Farm Equipment and the single slipper by the door. Maybe Farmer Joe had to run real quick to hang some fandangle lights on his cows and he lost his slipper! This is great Lois! Ginger

I have always wanted see this house at night, but it’s on the other side of town and I am not a fan of nighttime driving…so I can only picture it all lit up in my imagination. That’s good enough for me. Thanks, Ginger.

Wow, Lois! Those are some baubles! With cats in the house, I’m sure you are often in danger of tripping over the light fandangle. Thanks for joining us at Thursday Doors. I hope you have a great rest of the week.

This is one of those houses that keeps their lights up year-round. But then, I can’t imagine taking these things up and down each year, so maybe they are smarter than I think.
I was so happy to see a door here today! Thanks, Dan.

Definitely a bit of fandangley-ness going on here.

This entrance’s decor looks fabulously fandangle-ous, Lois. Checks the boxes to be sure…

Oh, it is fandangle-ous allright, Bruce. We drove by then I told my husband, “Wait a minute. Back up here…” This is a mere portion of his front yard. 😮

Very fandangley! ‘Tis the season for fandangleness! Your photo sure does illustrate fandanglement! HA! 😀 Great word! Great photo! I’d love to see that house all lit up at night! 🙂
(((HUGS))) ❤️❤️❤️
PS…I can’t explain it…but I’ve always been fascinated with, and enjoyed, photos of doors and windows.

I would love to see this house at night, too, but it’s on the other side of town, and I am not much of a fan of night driving. Darn! I need to change that, don’t I? 😆

Ha! Somebody else was thinking of Procul Harum 🤭 I hadn’t seen your post before I posted mine. — I’m sure at night those light balls look great, by day they resemble what I imagine killer tomatoes to look like.

I have just read through all the comments and am laughing at how there is a certain segment of the population enamored of words like “fandangle.” You have opened the floodgates for them/us! As for the house, yes, there’s a door in there somewhere but I’m not sure they want people to find it. If you ever do pass it at night, please take a picture for your fandanglers.

Ah, yes. The fandanglers will be more than pleased with a nighttime photo. Thanks, Maureen.

This is such a cool picture, Lois — great composition. All those large sphere ornaments are an attention grabber. “Whiter Shade of Pale” really does fit the mood. Hugs.

Thanks, Teagan. The house keeps the lights up all year round, so it is quite the spectacle. I would imagine when fully lit, it really does ‘trip the lights fandango.’
